Choir brings harmony to local crowd

05 Nov, 2009 09:46 AM
The audience rose to its feet to show its appreciation of the Harmony Singers following the performance at the Warren Central School on Sunday.

The 38-member choir entertained with solo, duet and group performances of jazz, gospel and blues. Songs included This Little Light of Mine, Boogie Woogie, Summertime, All That Jazz and an audience favourite O Happy Day.

The Warren Arts Council would like to thank Sue Brennan for the sale of tickets, Warren Central School for the use of the hall and the Warren Hospital Auxiliary for the delicious scones for afternoon tea.

Raffle winners were Jacko Dowton first, Donna Gibbs second and the members draw went to Bill and Joan Robey.
