 Country fame for Maxwell

Country fame for Maxwell

11 Feb, 2010 09:06 AM
Tom Maxwell has left his mark on country music in Tamworth’s Hands of Fame Gallery.

Mr Maxwell, along with fellow artists, was recognised for his long-time contribution to Australian country music.

The Hands of Fame imprinting ceremony took place at the Hands of Fame Park at Tamworth on January 23. The announcement of the newest inductees took place on January 16 at the Tribute to Pioneering Ladies of Australian Country Music Concert. Four complementary tickets to the concert were included in the honour for Mr Maxwell.

Mr Maxwell received further accolades when he was offered the opportunity to perform as part of WIN Television’s new series of The Farmer Wants a Wife.

His father Bill Maxwell said his son was quick to point out however that he would not be a contestant on the show, “as he has a wife already”.
