Can you imagine what it would be like to have to sit in a dark room and hear no sounds for one day - or even seven?
Year 3/4 students from Warren Central visited Old Dubbo Gaol last week and found out what it was like for just a few minutes, and it was scary.
We all enjoyed a day finding out about the history of the gaol including amazing facts such as how many people were hung (eight), the many different types of escapes and the stories of some of the prisoners.
The day was fantastic and I highly recommend a visit. Thank you to all the staff who came with us and the Country Area Support Program for helping to fund it.
We had a great time and I know all my family can’t wait to go.
