Rhiannon Stephens has become the 46th winner of the Auscott undergraduate scholarship in the Macquarie Valley.
Ms Stephens was chosen from a field of impressive applicants residing in the Warren and Narromine shires, and joins Wesley Hamilton, Kyle Serdity and Jessica Selfe as current Auscott Macquarie Valley scholarship holders.
The Auscott scholarship is valued at $11,500 per annum, covering tuition, books, equipment and living expenses for the duration of the course.
Ms Stephens completed Year 12 at Warren Central School in 2009 where she was also the school captain.
Ms Stephens’ involvement in the local community is also considered a credit to her and is an important part of the Auscott scholarship selection process. She capped off a great January after being named Warren’s Young Citizen of the Year at recent Australia Day celebrations.
Ms Stephens will be attending the University of Canberra, where she will study a combined Bachelor of Tourism Management/ Bachelor of Sports Management.
