Relay for Life teams continue their momentum with fundraising on all fronts.

Team Rose held a well-supported street stall on Saturday morning with three 100 clubs drawn on the day and a total of $1245 raised.

In the first draw Bec Moors’ number 46 was first, Joe Rogers’ 53 second and Sonny Manga’s 51 third.

In the second draw Sheryl Trudgett 73 was first, second Damien Plunkett 32 and third Darb O’Neill 46.

The third draw saw Joey Walker take first prize with 24, second Paul Westgarth 31 and third Daphne Calvert 64.

Not resting on their laurels, the next event Team Rose has planned is a fundraising golf day on Saturday February 25.

There will be a shotgun start at 3.30pm and the usual golf club offerings of a barbecue, booze bus and great prizes including money holes.

The event will be a three- person ambrose with learners welcome.

Meanwhile police advise the Emergency Services team is looking to hold a charity day on March 18 to raise money for Relay for Life.

On Friday January 20, SPAR Supermarket held a successful car wash in the SPAR car park.

The SPAR team also ran a 100 Club and a raffle raising $1000. Well done, Team SPAR.

The 100 Club results included first Marie Voss (who donated her winnings back; thanks, Marie).

Second was Michelle O’Neill and third Julie Murphy (who also donated her winnings back; thanks Julie).

Raffle results: Fran Rindfleish ($100 worth of scratchies) and second Sally Falkiner (wooden bowl donated by Ron Plunkett).

Stall sites are available for just $15.

Brendan’s Bravo’s are having a street stall on Friday February 10.

Team IMOJAR is holding a trivia night at the Golf Club on Saturday February 11; tables of eight players, $10 per player and bookings through Marg Davis or Jenny Hatton.
