As well as the award presentation the talent squad education weekend featured several training activities that saw some 100 athletes work with their squad coaches and special guest presenters. Barb Thomas from Curves in Forbes presented nutrition lectures, Scott Campbell from Tamworth assisted in sports testing and elite athletics coach Ernie Sluiter worked with the squads on running technique and drills. The 2010 netball squad trials were also conducted over the weekend in Warren.
