National title for local rider

04 Feb, 2010 11:18 AM
Talented young equestrian Amy Wilson will combine her education with her riding pursuits as she takes up a scholarship to NEGS at Armidale this year.

Amy completed Year 10 at Warren Central School.

The talented all-rounder cites maths as one of her strong subjects at school.

Her dedication to riding was recognised in October when she received the Dianne Newberry Memorial Trophy for Supreme Australian Stock Horse Hack at the Australian Stock Horse Society 2009 National Youth Show at Gundagai.

Amy was also nominated as Young Sportsperson of the Year at the recent local Australia Day awards.
