There was no golf on Wednesday due to the wet weather but 32 players turned out on Saturday for the Auscott trophy day and Medal of Medals round over 18 holes.
Thank you to Auscott for sponsoring the event. The Wellington Diggers joined in on a good day despite the heat.
First place went to Trish McAlary on 68, second on 71 and medal winner was Alison Payne, and Deb Kentwell 73 was third.
Shirley Walker was nearest the pin on the fourth hole and Peter Bryant took out the 18th.
Other ball winners were Russ Frazer 74, Pam Laws 75, Ron Trappell 75, Marg Davies 76, Chris Trudgett 76, Marg Kentwell 77, Robyn Downey 79, Bruce Jones 80, Maurie Lay 81, Peter Bryant 81 and Shirley Walker 81. Marg Kentwell won the raffle.
Three girls also went over for the Wellington Open.
Congratulations to Daphne Calvert who came third in the 18-hole scratch and Jan Barclay who was a winner in the 18-hole handicap.
Today is a Medal of Medal round, Saturday is an 18-hole stroke and next Wednesday a par event.
Saturday November 14 is the White Horse trophy over 18 holes. November 21 is closing day with a ‘pink’ theme and a 4.30pm start.
