Trish too good for rivals in 18-hole round

24 Mar, 2008 01:25 PM
It was wonderful to see 12 players turn up to contest an 18-hole stableford in the still very warm weather last Wednesday.

Congratulations to the winner Trish McAlary on 40, second on 38 was Dianne Simmons on a countback from Sue Burke.

Saturday was an 18-hole mulligan; thank you Marg Davis for the trophy. Sixteen players went around on the day and Lisa Stephens had a wonderful round and came home with 56 nett; congratulations Lisa.

Deb Kentwell was second with 62, this time beating Sumi Boyd in the countback.

Nearest the pins went to Rhonda Darcy on the 16th and Lisa Stephens on the 18th.

Today is a two-person ambrose invitation and Thursday is the annual Menzies Pumps and Irrigation trophy day over nine holes from 1pm. Saturday is an 18-hole stroke medley with tee off from 12.30pm, Monday is an 18-hole stroke medley mixed individual stableford with tee off from 12pm and next Wednesday is the 18-hole stroke March medal round.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter,
