The Warren Central School twilight swimming carnival on Thursday was a great success with Sturt house victors by only two points.
The final point score for the day was Sturt in first place with 651 points, second place went to Oxley on 649 points, third Mitchell on 469 and fourth Macquarie on 448 points.
The age champions for the day were decided, with junior primary going to Kayla Higgins and William Fuller.
The 11-year age group winners were Arielle Irving and Ben Fisk, the 12-year age group champions for primary were Emily Brown and Hugo Weston, and secondary 12-year champion was Karen Harris.
The 13-year champions were Molly Gough and Cameron Fuller. Fourteen-year-girl champions were Megan Callander and Katie Hammond, with Thomas Field the boy’s champion.
The 15-year championship went to Sophie Kentwell, the 16-year champions were Teah Stephens and Ty Arnold, and 17-years went to James Towe. The 18-year champions were Yasmin Kentwell and Adam Kentwell.
Record breakers in the secondary were Teah Stephens in the 100m freestyle, 50m breaststroke and butterfly and Thomas Field in the 50m freestyle.
House champions for Oxley in the junior primary boys and girls were Felix Weston and Saranna Fisk, senior primary boys and girls went to Arielle Irving and Hugo Weston, while junior secondary went to Matthew Stanley and Karen Harris. Senior secondary champions were Ty Arnold and Teah Stephens.
Mitchell’s house champions were junior primary Alec Brown and Kayla Higgins, and senior primary Dylan Archer and Emily Brown.
Junior secondary champs were Thomas Field, Jackie Cohen and Annabelle Taylor. John Ryan and Erica Hume were the senior secondary champions.
House champions for Macquarie were Owen Kennedy and Zofia Mara in the junior primary, and senior primary champions were Ross Job and Tiffany Greenaway.
Junior secondary champions were Ben Cant and Katie Hammond and senior secondary Erica Hunt.
House champions for Sturt were William Fuller and Gabby Fuller in the junior primary, and James Gough and Brittany Peachey in senior primary. Junior secondary champs for Sturt were Cameron Fuller and Molly Gough, with senior secondary going to James Towe and Bree Lomas.
