More than 100 competitors and quite a few spectators from throughout the Macquarie Valley and from as far afield as Walgett gathered at the Warren Swimming Pool last Sunday for the second Warren triathlon.
The three different categories all started with the swim leg in the pool, and then moved onto the cycle leg and finally the run. The minis was an individual event, with the short and long courses being for both individuals and teams.
The Warren Triathlon Club would like to thank all the volunteers including the SES and Men’s Shed. Also Bill Murray’s Precision Livestock Solutions for the timing tags, Warren Shire Council for the printing and helping with course setup, IGA and Rotary.
Final thanks must go to the sponsors - Namoi Cotton, Anderson’s Pharmacy, CGS, Macquarie Toyota and Chesterfield Warren.
